Join Our 2017-2018 Speakers Bureau!

March 2, 2016

Speakers Bureau presenters.

They talk about race with rooms full of strangers. They dance the fandango. They give children bugs to eat. And they lead discussions on everything from digital privacy to Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.

Now we’re looking for the next crop of passionate presenters who will travel throughout the state as part of our 2017-2018 Speakers Bureau.

Speakers Bureau is one of Humanities Washington’s oldest and most popular programs, where cultural experts and scholars encourage their public audiences to think, learn, and engage in conversation on a subject they love.

If you’re a cultural expert who loves the energy that emerges from bringing your subject to a new community, apply by April 25. Speakers are chosen based on their expertise in their subject matter, ability to present their subject in a creative and compelling way, and on the topic presented.

In addition, for the 2017-2018 roster, we’re looking for four-to-six experts on World War I in commemoration of the United States entering The Great War.
