Together: The Promise of Democracy
Can we talk our way into a stronger democracy?
Discover the vital role everyday conversations between neighbors play in a democratic system. Conversation not only helps us think and reason through problems, but helps us see, hear, and respect each other and our shared concerns. And these conversations can happen anywhere—a public park, a library, a place of worship, or even the beach.
Yet conversation stands in contrast to the voting booth, in which we try to influence the direction of our society in a very quiet, private space. In this conversation with Professor Yasemin Sari, explore ways we can bridge this gap and create a world where the promise of democracy is brought fully to life.
