Keep Washington’s communities connected.
Humanities Washington’s programs are free and open to the public because of generous donations from people like you.
And right now, the need is particularly strong.
In early April, DOGE illegally cancelled or rescinded hundreds of National Endowment for the Humanities grant contracts nationwide, including those of Humanities Washington. In our state, $10 million was taken from the cultural sector. This will have a devastating impact on our programs and the communities we serve.
In response, the Federation of State Humanities Councils, with support from the Mellon Foundation, provided emergency funding that includes matching funds.
This means your gift will be matched 1:1.
